Shifts are generally 12 hours, nights and weekends. These positions have the potential to become full-time. Armed guards maintain the safety and security of personnel, property and assets while following strict security protocols. Benefits Twelve-hour shifts are generally 3 days a week with additional monthly training hours. Eligible for 401(k) from date of hire with 100% vesting in matching contributions on day one. Paid time off Training opportunities that may lead to advancement If transitioning to full-time, health and welfare payments in lieu of obtaining benefits will be offered under the O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) QualificationsEssential Functions: Provide access control to facilities while interacting with customers, employees, contractors and visitors Foot patrols to ensure secure areas remain secure, while observing and reporting of issues Alarm monitoring and assessment Incident and daily report writing Responding to emergencies in a calm, efficient manner Inspection of bags, containers and vehicles  Minimum Qualifications U.S. Citizen High School Diploma or verifiable GED certificate Minimum 21 years of age. Must pass a medical examination, drug screen, DMV, state and federal background investigation Must fluently speak, read and comprehend the English language Must possess the required State of Nevada PILB licensing requirements to carry a handgun/shotgun U.S. State issued driver’s license  Required Qualifications Must have two or any reasonable combination of the following: Three years of experience in the security industry, military or law enforcement Associate degree or completion of twenty-four college credits Active, retired or honorably discharged service in the U.S. Armed Forces, National Guard or Reserves Graduation from a law enforcement basic academy  Skills & attributes Proven judgment and composure in high-stress, fast-moving situations Strong verbal communication and command presence Highly disciplined, mission-focused, and team-oriented Proficient in radio communications and tactical equipment Adaptable to rapidly evolving operational environments  Physical Demands The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
