Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 600 employees. 

Job Description

Objective of the role: Operation and monitoring of production processes for the manufacture of assemblies or finished products that meet specifications.

Detailed tasks of the role:

  • Start-up during order changes in accordance with the relevant specifications, including ensuring line clearance and checking test stations with validation parts/challenge parts.
  • Loading production equipment with individual parts and changing bins and trays according to specifications.
  • Taking sample lots and visually inspecting parts according to specifications.
  • Properly entering equipment status at the production terminals according to specifications.
  • Independently carrying out changeover procedures on production equipment when switching variants, in accordance with instructions from supervisors and operational requirements.
  • Carrying out production documentation according to instructions and specifications, including documenting lot changes, obtaining release approval, entering quantities in the MES, and documenting validations and revisions.
  • Cleaning activities within the work area, including the machine, handling equipment, other equipment, and the surrounding area.
  • Handling defective parts on the machines according to instructions from supervisors.
  • Continuous improvement in the production process.
  • Supporting ongoing production according to specifications and instructions.

Qualifications

Required education / qualifications and professional experience:

  • Knowledge acquired through at least a 2-year apprenticeship, e.g. as a machine and equipment operator, or equivalent, or knowledge gained through many years of professional experience / a multi-week induction period.
