Job Summary
The Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently while maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-organized work environment. The Team Lead provides leadership, technical support, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality standards are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the production team to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
- Monitor team performance and ensure duties are performed efficiently and accurately.
- Provide coaching and training to team members, including onboarding new employees.
- Break out operators for lunch, breaks, and other rotations as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Supervise production processes to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.
- Perform line clearance to prevent contamination or mix-ups between production runs.
- Ensure all production goals are met in alignment with quality and safety standards.
- Verify that finished goods are undamaged, properly scanned, and accurately labeled.
- Assist in the isolation, maintenance, and repair of machinery as needed.
- Operate tools and equipment to support production as required.
- Perform periodic checks on equipment and address any detected issues.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure all machinery is in proper working order.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards.
- Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations on the production floor.
- Report any safety concerns, near misses, or incidents to management.
- Check and complete all required quality paperwork to ensure compliance with standards.
- Inspect production lines to ensure products meet quality specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality team to address and resolve any quality issues.
- Identify areas for improvement in production processes and suggest actionable solutions.
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
- Encourage team members to participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the production team and management.
- Communicate daily production goals, updates, and any changes to the team.
- Provide timely reports on production performance, issues, and improvements to management.

Qualifications
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to interpret and complete quality documentation accurately.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
Working Conditions
This position operates in a manufacturing facility where employees are exposed to various environmental factors, including but not limited to noise, dust, odors, and temperature fluctuations. The role may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required in designated areas. The company prioritizes employee safety and maintains strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
