Job DetailsJob Location: SOUTHEAST ADDICTION CENTER LLC - PEACHTREE CORNERS, GA 30092 POSITION: Group Facilitator RESPONSIBLE TO: Clinical Director SUPERVISED BY: Clinical Director POSITION/INDIVIDUALS SUPERVISED: None LOCATION Southeast Addiction Center Atlanta Drug & Alcohol Rehab - Peachtree Corners, GA 30092 POSITION PURPOSE: Group Facilitator is to promote participation of the client on an ongoing basis in discussions of his or her Individualized Treatment Plan, its goals, and the clients’ status toward achieving the goal.   SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION Advocate for clients and coordinate required services or resolve emergency problems in crisis situations. Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their emotions and coping skills. Encourage clients to express their feelings, discuss their lives, and develop insight into themselves and their relationships. Positively engage clients in all interactions. Establish and maintain an environment that is conducive to treatment and client emotional development. Plan and prepare for therapeutic activities daily. Conduct organized group sessions and other therapeutic activities daily. Adapt the group curriculum to the client’s individual treatment goals and ability. Track interventions and client responses through daily progress notes. Evaluate clients’ goals and therapeutic progress daily. Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and activities on clients. Maintain accurate and up to date client records. Provide information on access to community resources that are relevant to the need of the clients. Communicate client process to the treatment team, as needed and permitted. Facilitate the transition process including arrangements for follow-up services Maintain confidentiality of all client information and records. Comply with all agency policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS 1. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred. 2. EXPERIENCE: Prior experience working with clients with emotional and/or behavioral needs and/ or experience running groups is preferred. 3. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification and First Aid and or trained on within 90 days of hire.
