Each Welder plays a critical role in ensuring our ASME pressure vessels exceed all applicable quality standards. We are looking for welders with a strong work ethic and attention to detail to join a strong team. This is a great opportunity for a welder that is interested in growing his or her skills on a wide variety of projects.

Welding test will be administered to determine level and compensation

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding based on specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings
  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to understand project requirements and determine the appropriate welding process
  • Setting up and maintaining welding equipment by preparing materials and setting up welding devices or robots
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
  • Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
  • Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators
  • Assemble and fit items as instructed by supervisor
  • Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding is preferred
  • Professional certification from recognized organizations like the American Welding Society (AWS) is advantageous
  • 3+ years of welding experience
  • 2+ years of experience with MIG, TIG, and/or Sub Arc welding 
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques, knowledge of metallurgy, material properties, and safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

Additional Experience Welder

  • 8+ years of progressively responsible welding, fitting, and fabrication experience
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing ASME pressure vessels, engineered-to-order process equipment, tanks, piping, heavy industrial machinery, or comparable code-quality equipment
  • Advanced understanding of weld discontinuities, metallurgy, heat input, joint preparation, distortion control, consumable handling, and inspection requirements
  • Operates with minimal supervision and is trusted to plan and execute highly complex work
