Position Summary:

The Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate pick-up, transportation, and delivery of roll-off bins to job sites, customers, and company locations. This role ensures compliance with all safety regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies while providing professional customer service and supporting operational efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to pick up, transport, and deliver roll-off bins.
  • Load, secure, and unload roll-off bins at job sites and company locations.
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment before and after each shift to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
  • Complete required documentation, including delivery tickets, inspection logs, and transportation records.
  • Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures during all operations.
  • Communicate effectively with operations staff, and customers regarding delivery schedules and site conditions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles and equipment.
  • Report vehicle or equipment issues promptly and coordinate necessary repairs or maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics:

  • Valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and proper vehicle operation.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy materials and assist with roll-off bin placement when necessary.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to complete deliveries efficiently.
  • Must have the ability to acquire background clearances for base passes and secured locations. (RapidGate and other access passes)
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following company policies and procedures.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM.
  • Demonstrated reliability, including regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, respectful, and professional demeanor and conduct oneself with integrity.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Prolonged sitting in trucks; frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Use of hands/fingers for tools and equipment; climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding; working in tight spaces or at heights.

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Training or experience in safe load securement, hazardous material handling, or construction site delivery preferred.
  • Minimum age: 21 years.
  • Minimum 2 years of driving experience.

Additional Requirements/Compliance

  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening in accordance with company and DOT regulations.
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as part of the company’s safety-sensitive employee program.
  • Must maintain compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations regarding controlled substances and alcohol use while on duty.
