FS Blinds Estimator - Multi family projects:

Position Overview:

Review and analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentations to understand the scope of work and project requirements for window coverings/blinds in Multi-Family projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review and analyze project specs, blueprints, plans
Manage measurements to quantify materials required
Estimate costs for materials, labor and equipment
Proofreading data
Answer email in timely manner
Answer phone calls/return missed phone calls and voicemails immediately
Working to meet deadline each day/sense of urgency
Helping all teammates
Operate office equipment including computer and copier
Adhere to confidentiality regulations

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Typing skills / 40 wpm preferred
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong math skills
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Computer skills and knowledge of flooring/new home construction a plus
Basic literacy and numeracy skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

3 – 5 years in construction or related field; experience with bid preparation preferred
High School Diploma/GED/College

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to lift 1-10lbs occasionally
Required to remain stationary for prolonged periods of time, repetitively use hands to finger, handle, grip, feel, reach with hands and arms, occasionally stand, walk
Able to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds
