Are you an experienced Production Supervisor looking for an opportunity to grow? If so, Emerson has an exciting position for you! Based in Pearland, TX, you will plan daily work assignments, provide coordination between production groups, and lead a team focused on meeting production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives. You will oversee employee performance and development, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with company policies, training requirements, and manufacturing best practices.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Plans daily work assignments and periodic rotations to meet objectives
  • Shares responsibility and accountability for schedule and product quality
  • Monitors status of orders for daily shipment and identifies the root cause of late orders and reoccurring quality issues
  • Understands the basic design and functionality of all products produced in the assigned work area
  • Demonstrates proficient knowledge of manufacturing practices and processes
  • Sets clear objectives and measures/monitors progress and results
  • Provides coordination between productions groups and other departments
  • Responsible for maintenance and protection of company property in assigned work area
  • Creates and maintains a safe work environment and ensures safety requirements are met
  • Strives for continuous improvement in all areas
  • Participates in the hiring and selection process; interviews and recommends potential candidates
  • Conducts timely, effective performance reviews; provides actionable feedback that is both constructive and positive
  • Ensures employees’ training requirements are met
  • Administers appropriate corrective action as necessary and maintains records
  • Communicates and implements company goals, policies, and procedures

You efficiently communicate in various settings: one-on-one, in small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels, gain insight into customer needs, persist in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks, break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions, apply knowledge of internal structures, processes, and culture to resourcing efforts.  
 
For This Role, You Will Need:
  • High School Diploma
  • Six (6) years of related experience
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications to support business operations.

  • Ability to work weekends and extended hours as business needs
  • Previous experience leading and managing teams
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future. Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
