Overview

The Claims Adjuster/Processor’s primary duty is to receive and process the day-to-day operations of claims department.

This is an in-office position in Pearland, Texas.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Create new database entries from incident and claim reports received daily which includes but not limited to property damage, customer property damage, personal injury, environmental and criminal activity

  • Continuously manage and update existing incidents and claims in database

  • Receive and process non-employee related reports of incidents and claims

  • Interact with external customers (claimants, insurance companies, vendors, auto body shops, car rental companies, law enforcement, etc.)

  • Interact with internal staff (stores, maintenance, accounting, department heads, etc.)

  • Thoroughly investigate all claims

  • Utilize video surveillance software

  • Assess claims and apply preventive measures to minimize risk

  • Apprise management of escalated risk

  • Interview and record witness statements

  • Draft and prepare correspondence and reports

  • Approve and deny claims

  • Return phone calls and email

  • Preserve video of customer-related personal injury, carwash, property damage, and criminal activity

  • Monitor and approve work orders related to third-party damages

  • Collect reimbursement for third-party damages

  • Receive and process employee reward requests

  • Purge matter that's reached statute of limitations

  • Create and maintain forms

  • Offer feedback for placement and upkeep of camera system

  • Communicate and update stores regarding claims procedures

  • Act as Administrator of Mitratech/LawTrac

  • It is an essential function of this job for the employee to work in office/in the employee’s assigned work site. No remote work is available

  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned

  • Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

The position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Licensed by Texas Department of Insurance as Adjuster-All Lines or will be required to obtain the license within six months of employment

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant claims experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Product Suite
