Broadcast & Creative Production Lead

The Broadcast & Creative Production Lead is responsible for the visual execution of Eagle Mountain International Church broadcasts and creative media productions. This position directs the live television and streaming presentation of Sunday and Wednesday services while leading the visual execution of promotional videos, ministry stories, interviews, podcasts, and other creative projects. Working closely with producers and directors, this role provides expertise in live broadcast directing, camera operation, lighting design, and visual storytelling to ensure each production reflects the vision and excellence of Eagle Mountain International Church.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Broadcast Production

• Direct the live television and streaming broadcast for Sunday and Wednesday services and other special events as assigned.
• Execute the vision of the producer during live broadcasts.
• Direct camera operators and coordinate the visual presentation of live productions.
• Communicate with camera operators, graphics, playback, audio, and production personnel throughout live broadcasts.
• Make real time production decisions to ensure smooth execution of services and broadcasts.
• Prepare switcher layouts and production elements prior to services and events.
• Troubleshoot production issues and work with technical staff to resolve problems during live broadcasts.
• Maintain consistency and broadcast quality across all live productions.

Creative Production

• Serve as the visual lead for promotional videos, ministry stories, interviews, podcasts, testimonies, announcements, and other creative productions.
• Collaborate with producers and directors to develop the visual approach for assigned projects.
• Design and execute camera placement, framing, composition, and movement that support the creative vision of each production.
• Design and implement lighting for studio and location productions.
• Operate professional broadcast and cinema cameras as assigned.
• Select appropriate lenses, filters, camera support equipment, and lighting for each production.
• Assist editors by capturing high quality footage that supports post production workflows.
• Maintain organization and readiness of cameras, lighting equipment, grip equipment, and related production gear.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing new production technologies and workflows.
• Assist in training camera operators and volunteers as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

• Volunteers as needed and as directed.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Graduate. Technical training in television production, cinematography, or related field preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in live television production and creative video production.
• Experience directing live multi-camera broadcasts.
• Experience operating professional broadcast and cinema cameras.
• Experience with studio and location lighting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of live television production workflows.
• Working knowledge of broadcast switchers and television production systems.
• Strong understanding of camera composition, framing, movement, and visual storytelling.
• Working knowledge of lighting techniques for studio and location productions.
• Ability to direct live productions in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical and production issues under pressure.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to learn new production technologies and workflows.
• Positive attitude, adaptable to change, and professional in presentation.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to work in studio, church, office, and remote production environments.
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, climb, and move production equipment throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Requires normal range of vision and hearing.
• Must be able to travel as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in church, studio, office, and remote production environments. Evening and weekend work is required to support services, events, and production schedules. Extended hours may be required to complete productions.
