Reliability Specialist
 Reports to: Pekin Office
Starting Salary: Up to $80,000/year, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time
Travel: Regular travel to local customers and contract sites required
Requirements: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Help Drive Reliability & Operational Excellence
MMS is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Reliability Specialist to support reliability initiatives across multiple customer locations and business units. This role partners with site leadership, maintenance teams, and operational staff to improve equipment reliability, maintenance performance, and operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on role focused on problem-solving, process improvement, and driving operational success across multiple sites.
What You’ll Do
- Support reliability improvement efforts across multiple customer sitesÂ
- Partner with leadership to identify and implement operational improvementsÂ
- Drive projects focused on equipment reliability and maintenance performanceÂ
- Monitor KPIs, including downtime, MTBF, MTTR, PM effectiveness, and asset availabilityÂ
- Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actionsÂ
- Support operational and quality auditsÂ
- Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance programsÂ
- Standardize reliability practices and reporting across sitesÂ
- Prepare performance updates and improvement plans for leadership and customersÂ
A Day in the Life
A typical day may include visiting local customer sites, reviewing maintenance data, supporting troubleshooting efforts, conducting audits, collaborating with site leadership, and helping implement process improvements that reduce downtime and improve operational performance.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance, engineering, operations, or continuous improvementÂ
- Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis, and reliability practicesÂ
- Experience leading or supporting cross-functional teamsÂ
- Strong communication and leadership skillsÂ
- Experience with CMMS/EAM systems and maintenance performance analysisÂ
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
Preferred Qualifications
- Reliability, Maintenance, or Project Management certificationsÂ
- Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, SQL, or PythonÂ
- Multi-site or customer-facing operational experienceÂ
