Restoration 1 of Birmingham is seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Construction Manager to lead our growing reconstruction division.
This is far more than a project management position. As our Construction Manager, you'll oversee every aspect of our reconstruction projects鈥攆rom writing accurate Xactimate estimates and securing approvals to managing production through final completion鈥攚hile helping build the systems, processes, and foundation for a best-in-class construction department.
Reporting directly to our Director of Operations, you'll oversee all reconstruction projects while helping build a scalable, high-performing construction division. Initially, you'll personally manage every project, with the opportunity to build and lead a construction team as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Conduct on-site inspections of residential properties post-mitigation to assess scope of work
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Produce precise, well-structured estimates using Xactimate that reflect what is truly needed to do the job right
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Collaborate with the Construction Manager and project team to ensure estimates are aligned with field execution and labor requirements
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Communicate scope and expectations clearly with property owners and adjusters
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Push back on inaccurate assumptions and negotiate confidently when necessary鈥攜our job is to advocate for what the project requires
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Maximize revenue opportunities without inflating scope鈥攅very line item should be justified, documented, and aligned with quality standards
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Assist with estimate revisions, supplements, and change orders as needed
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Track approval timelines and ensure smooth handoffs from estimating to production

Required Qualifications
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Minimum 3 years of experience in construction scoping and estimating (residential or light commercial)
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Proficiency in Xactimate
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Strong understanding of residential construction materials, methods, and sequencing
路聽 聽 聽 聽 Experience working with insurance adjusters and a firm grasp of property and casualty insurance concepts

路聽 聽 聽 聽 Previous experience in the water/mold/fire restoration and/or construction industry
