JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Junior Analyst supports the Contract and Transportation Sales & Marketing Directors by delivering timely, accurate reporting, analytics, and operational coordination. This role is designed for a recent business graduate and serves as a foundational learning position, providing exposure to sales strategy, logistics, margin management, customer engagement, and market analytics. The Junior Analyst will act as a central resource for data‑driven insights, customer materials, CRM management, and cross‑functional communication with mills and logistics teams.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare and distribute regular sales, margin, and market performance reports.
  • Conduct margin analysis by product, customer, and channel.
  • Track market penetration, customer activity, and sales pipeline metrics.
  • Support daily and weekly activity reporting for Sales & Marketing leadership.
  • Analyze trends and summarize insights to support decision‑making.

Sales & Marketing Support

  • Assist in preparing customer presentations, proposals, and sales materials.
  • Maintain and update CRM data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Support opportunity tracking, customer engagement metrics, and follow‑up activities.
  • Coordinate logistics-related information for customer and sales needs.

Operations & Logistics Coordination

  • Serve as a point of contact for communication with mills regarding order status, availability, and logistics updates.
  • Support coordination between Sales, Transportation, and Operations teams to ensure accurate data flow.
  • Assist with ad‑hoc operational analysis as needed.

Process & Data Management

  • Ensure integrity of reporting data across systems (CRM, spreadsheets, internal dashboards).
  • Document standard reporting procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation aligned with company policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Operations teams.
  • Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.

PREFERRED SKILLS: 

  • Internship or co‑op experience in analytics, sales operations, marketing, finance, or supply chain.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar).
  • Familiarity with basic financial or margin analysis concepts.
  • Interest in building a career in analytics, sales operations, or commercial strategy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of time sitting and working at a computer as well as helping wherever needed in the warehouse.
