Job Summary

Are you the type of person who enjoys being part of a team that supports a world class organization producing critical customer resources while working in a fast-paced environment? In this role you will produce customer facing technical materials and prepare them to be shipped with our equipment or directly to customers. This includes preparing for orders to be printed, operating various printing production equipment and packing orders to be shipped out. We are looking for someone that has an eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality, is reliable and able to maintain a customer service attitude.

What You’ll Do

1. Operate all publishing equipment to produce manuals and materials.

2. Build manuals, resource libraries, and complete production orders.

3. Monitor inventory and supplies for printing and publishing processes.

4. Learns relevant technical communication policies to understand requirements of printed materials that impact quality control and building resource libraries.

5. Use order, print, file retrieval, and archiving systems to manage digital assets.

6. Maintain production flow and on-time delivery in the absence of the department lead.

What We’re Looking For

- Associate degree in a field supporting production, manufacturing, or workflow operations preferred, with a minimum of one year of experience in printing, document finishing, or a related production environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, File Explorer, Adobe tools, and ability to learn additional software quickly.

- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

- High degree of attention to detail and ability to learn a variety of complex processes.

- Knowledge of company product line, digital printing equipment, and proper paper stock.

- Competence with shear, paper drill, binder, laminator, padding frame, and folder/perforator.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain positive relationships.

- Understands prioritization of projects and  multiple tasks while supporting department objectives.

- Produce accurate, error-free documents in a timely manner.

- Effective management of time and resources.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a shift.

- Navigate server files/folders; understand technical manual naming conventions and equipment classifications.

Travel

- No travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
