CAD Designer

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the machinery industry, is seeking a Designer (Machine Design) to join their team. As a Designer, you will be part of the Design Department supporting engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, effective project management abilities, and proficiency in solid modeling/design software.

Job Title: Designer (Machine Design) - 6 months Contract (potential to extend)

Location: Pella, IA

Hours: 6AM -3PM or 7AM -4PM

What’s the Job?

1. Provide new designs and design enhancements for customers to meet product needs.
2. Assist engineering technicians in welding, assembly, and testing of prototype designs.
3. Create sketches or detailed drawings for prototype parts.
4. Collaborate with Project and Design Engineers on design changes for production machines.
5. Support service department and provide technical information for product release.

What’s Needed?

1. Associate’s degree in Machine Design or related field with 3+ years of experience.
2. Ability to effectively manage tasks and projects to meet production demands.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Proficiency in solid modeling/design software.
5. Familiarity with production machine shop processes and equipment
