This position is based at our Pelzer SC facilities and required to travel between facilities when needed. Â

ResponsibilitiesÂ

Design, develop, and continuously improve training programs that support manufacturing operations and business goalsÂ

Assess learning needs and translate them into structured training solutions, including curriculum, learning paths, and training materialsÂ
-
Develop and standardize training content, processes, and frameworks to ensure consistency and scalability across teams and locationsÂ

Analyze training data, learner feedback, and performance trends to identify gaps and drive measurable improvementsÂ
-
Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational prioritiesÂ

Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to capture technical knowledge and convert it into effective learning experiencesÂ

Design and implement training for new products to support timely and effective workforce readinessÂ

Deliver Train-the-Trainer sessions and support development of training team membersÂ

Review and approve training documentation, labs, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) materials; support development of team capability in OJT creationÂ

Assess trainer performance through audits and evaluations; document findings and provide coaching to close gapsÂ

Develop and maintain training documentation, processes, and standards to improve consistency and efficiencyÂ

Create and analyze surveys and reporting to evaluate training effectivenessÂ

Manage LMS-related activities, including enrollments, reporting, and communication of training requirements and updatesÂ

Support hourly and salaried training programs as neededÂ

Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including local schools and state agenciesÂ

Travel between facilities to support training needs and stakeholder engagementÂ

Cross-train across training functions to support a well-rounded and adaptable training programÂ

QualificationsÂ

Experience in Learning & Development, training program design, or a related field within a manufacturing or technical environmentÂ

Strong ability to design, organize, and improve training programs that support operational and business goalsÂ

Proven experience assessing learning needs and developing structured training solutionsÂ

Solid understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning concepts, and blended learning approachesÂ

Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS), survey tools, and content development platformsÂ

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive improvementsÂ
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining attention to detailÂ

Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly across all levels of the organizationÂ

Demonstrated ability to influence, guide, and support others without direct authorityÂ

Experience working with Subject Matter Experts and cross-functional teamsÂ

Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, or similar)Â

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a strong working knowledge of its features and functions.Â

Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentÂ
The Training Specialist role at Vertiv operates across both office and manufacturing environments. This position includes a mix of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the day while supporting training delivery and program implementation.Â
