Reports To: Barb Volk, Area Developer & Jake Metsky, Regional Operations Manager
Do What You Love. Love What You Do.
At KidStrong, our mission is simple: We help parents raise smarter, stronger, more confident kids—with character.
We’re a high-energy team of leaders with backgrounds in coaching, fitness, athletics, child development, education, sales, and operations. What brings us together is a passion for developing kids, building great teams, and creating an incredible experience for families.
As we continue to grow our South Florida region, we’re looking for a General Manager who wants to build something—not simply manage it.
If you love leading people, developing teams, driving results, and being part of an energetic, purpose-driven environment, we’d love to meet you.
Why Join KidStrong?
KidStrong South Florida is growing, and we’re looking for motivated leaders who want to build a long-term career with us.
This is a unique opportunity to launch a brand-new KidStrong center from the ground up—leading the pre-sale, building your founding team, developing relationships within the Pembroke Pines community, and creating a strong membership base before the doors even open.
From pre-sale through grand opening and beyond, you’ll have the opportunity to build the culture, team, and community that will define KidStrong Pembroke Pines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $55,000–$60,000/year, based on experience
- Quarterly & Milestone Performance Bonuses
- Total Compensation Potential: $65,000–$80,000+/year
- 401(k)
- Health & dental insurance
- Paid time off
- Ongoing training and leadership development
- Career advancement opportunities within our growing South Florida region
The Role
As General Manager, you are the leader of your center and ultimately responsible for its people, culture, growth, operations, and member experience.
During the pre-opening phase, you’ll play a critical role in building momentum for KidStrong Pembroke Pines. You’ll lead the pre-sale membership campaign, connect with prospective families, build community partnerships, recruit and develop your team, and help ensure the center opens with a strong foundation.
Once open, you’ll continue to lead from the front—developing your team, driving sales and membership growth, delivering an exceptional member experience, and stepping onto the floor to coach alongside your team.
This is not a traditional 9–5 desk job. Our strongest General Managers are visible, engaged leaders who know their team, know their families, understand their numbers, and aren’t afraid to jump in wherever needed.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the center’s pre-sale strategy and execution, driving founding memberships ahead of opening
- Build relationships and generate awareness throughout the Pembroke Pines community
- Develop local partnerships and participate in community events to build the KidStrong brand
- Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop coaches and team members
- Create a positive, energetic culture for both employees and families
- Own center performance, including sales, membership growth, retention, and operational goals
- Partner closely with the Assistant General Manager to ensure strong day-to-day execution
- Build relationships with members and deliver an exceptional family experience
- Manage staffing and class schedules based on center needs and demand
- Coach approximately 3–5 KidStrong classes per week and lead by example
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming center

Our ideal candidate has:

- A strong background or interest in coaching, fitness, athletics, education, child development, or youth programs
- Experience in sales, customer service, or business operations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The confidence and drive to build membership and community awareness for a new location
- The ability to coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- A genuine ability to connect with both kids and parents
- Weekend availability, as weekends are some of our busiest and most important days
