Summary:
Prepares specimens for analysis by registering and accessioning orders via Hospital Information System and Laboratory Information Systems (clinical lab and/or anatomic pathology), verifying specimen acceptability. Performs established pre-analytical and analytical laboratory procedures, not requiring Medical Technologist or Histology Technologist interpretation, in accordance with established laboratory policy in an accurate, safe, and timely manner.Responsibilities:
路Provides laboratory customer service to include request for add-ons, specimen collection information, phlebotomy requests, result inquiry, etc.Performs clerical duties. Also maintains equipment and adequate stock of supplies. Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.Assists with receiving, identifying, accessioning, processing and transporting specimens.Competencies:

Complexity of Work: This role requires the ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers, basic knowledge of laboratory information systems, requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision, and must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
