Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, direct patient care and support to providers and clinical staff by performing both clinical and administrative duties in a professional and efficient manner.


Advocare, LLC is a physician-owned partnership of leading pediatricians, family practitioners, and specialists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment.


Medical Assistant Essential Functions:

  • Prepare patients for examinations by conducting preliminary physical assessments, taking vital signs, and summarizing patient history for providers
  • Set up and maintain clean, organized treatment rooms for clinical examinations
  • Communicate physician instructions to patients and answer basic questions regarding treatment and care
  • Provide compassionate support and assistance to patients and their families throughout their visit
  • Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA
  • Assist providers, clinical staff, and other team members as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support overall clinic operations
  • Must be efficient in blood draws for all ages and able to give vaccines
  • Must be willing to travel to multiple offices

Medical Assistant Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of medical procedures, administrative workflows, and organizational policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Proficient in a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and records management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when needed
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to express ideas effectively
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrates the ability to meet performance goals and deadlines consistently

Requirements

 Medical Assistant Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have atleast one year of pediatric experience in a pediatric setting
  • Must be flexible
  • Must be willing to travel to our Philadelphia and Ardmore offices
