Pay Range: $19.30 - $22.19/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary:
The Cook is responsible for preparing and distributing high-quality meals for patients, residents, and non-patient dining services. This position plays an important role in ensuring meals are safe, appealing, and prepared according to established recipes, production schedules, and food safety standards.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare meals according to recipes, production schedules, and portion guidelines
- Provide attractive and well-presented meal trays for patients and residents
- Follow HACCP food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Monitor food temperatures and complete required documentation
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, storage, and cooler areas
- Help ensure food quality while minimizing waste
- Participate in culinary planning and department meetings
- Support a positive, team-focused work environment
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of previous cooking experience
Preferred:
- Previous cooking experience following HACCP standards
- Two years of culinary education or formal training
- Experience in healthcare food service or related food service operations
Skills:
- Ability to read and follow recipes and production instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Team-oriented attitude and dedication to quality service
