SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:High School diploma or equivalent required. Vocational school training preferred.
Experience:One year hands on field experience.
Other Credentials:Drivers License
Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of computer navigation. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and use of an I-Pad
Special Training:Working knowledge of various codes (i.e. NFPA, NEC, National Plumbing code)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Demonstrates the ability to operate power and manual equipment required to perform specialized trade functions.
- Diagnoses and performs needed actions to correct equipment problems and failures. Inspects and makes necessary repairs in specialized equipment in accordance with department facility preventative maintenance programs, manufacturer's specifications and safe operational practices.
- Determines and specifies supplies and materials required to accomplish projects.
- Plans and performs installation of new equipment consistent with established CH and departmental codes and safe operating practices.
- Performs a variety of maintenance activities such as snow removal, moving furniture and as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned; willingness to adapt to changing departmental demands. Works with departmental and non-departmental staff to complete work orders without management intervention.
- Proactively seeks and completes unassigned work such as replacing stained ceiling tile, actively cleans shop and mechanical rooms, and repair broken floor equipment.
- Ensures Preventive Maintenance and Environment of Care Survey work orders are completed at or above established annual goals
