Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, coding solutions, unit testing, and ensuring the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Job expectations include an awareness of development and testing practices in the industry.

This role is for passionate, multi-talented IT professionals with technology, design and business backgrounds, and a great propensity for creative problem solving. In this role one will be responsible for creating interactive web front-end UI from a combination of wireframes, visual designs, and design standards. Certain projects may also require creation of visual designs and wireframes directly from business concepts in accordance with user experience standards and guidelines. The candidate will also need to guide the
creation of design standards to ensure that they are technically feasible and will work in the production environment; this requires close partnership with production application development and architecture teams to fully understand server-side constraints as well.
Meticulous attention to detail and a proper sense of urgency are essential to succeed in this role. Frontend UI will be regularly reviewed at senior levels in the business organization and prompt turnaround of deliverables is crucial to the success of the initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements

  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities

  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements

  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle

  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause

  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in modern web development using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript based on web standards

  • Understanding of how to scale CSS for multiple large websites, with different branding

  • Expertise with Responsive Web Design

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as Angular 5, React, Handlebars

  • Experience with CSS preprocessors (SASS/LESS)

  • Experience using SVG

  • Understanding of website performance

  • Experience with .NET framework, C#, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS)

  • Experience with GIT distributed version control, branching/merge strategies, and Bitbucket

  • Experience in Agile development environment and tools such as JIRA / Rally.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing ADA/Accessibility (Level AA & AAA) Requirements

  • Experience with Adobe Tools (Photoshop/Illustrator)

  • Experience with Grunt, Gulp, or other build tools

  • Experience working in the wealth management or banking industries

  • Works well within, or leading a cross-functional multicultural team

  • Effective communication with Business partners, UX designers and other stakeholders
