Pennsauken Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, motivated and forward-thinking Urgent Care Department Head to join our diverse and dynamic team. We are seeking an experienced DVM that is looking for a unique opportunity to work in a privately owned, community-focused hospital that puts people and pets first for the past 76 years.Â

Your Role:
As an Urgent Care Department Head, you will:
- Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and inpatient care
- Foster strong client and team relationships
- Promote client education and ensure exceptional patient experiences
- Help guide and support staff in daily medical responsibilities when needed
- Contribute to a collaborative and respectful team culture

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, with NJ licensure (or ability to obtain)
- DEA License (or ability to obtain)
- Passion for client communication and teamwork
- Proficiency in emergency medical practice procedures
- Interest in continuous learning and professional growth

Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfort with animal handling using Fear-Free techniques
- Ability to work in a hospital setting, including exposure to noise, animals, and medical equipment
