Role Description

 

This is a full-time, on-site role for a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator located in Pensacola, FL. The CMM Operator will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining CNC-controlled Coordinate Measuring Machines to inspect and validate precision parts and assemblies. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings, performing part inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, maintaining records, and collaborating with the quality assurance and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve measurement discrepancies.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and knowledge of CMM software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and measurement techniques.
  • Experience in quality control processes such as part inspection and first article inspection (FAI).
  • Technical skills in data interpretation, report preparation, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Problem-solving abilities with a focus on resolving measurement or alignment discrepancies.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications or training in CMM operation or quality assurance are a plus.
  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is preferred but not mandatory.
