Retrev is seeking extremely detail oriented individuals who possess knowledge of medical charting and terminology to join our team as Review Specialists.

Medical Record Review Specialists use the records our teams have compiled based on the qualifiers that our partner law firms have requested to perform a review or summation of the facts most pertinent for their cases. Our Review Specialists need to have a good understanding of medical terminology, different types of reporting- operative vs. pathology vs. imaging, etc., and solid working knowledge of Microsoft/Windows computer systems. Our partner firms could request simple bookmarking and highlighting on records or full chronologies depending on the case. It is imperative that individuals in this position not only understand the importance of accuracy, but also timeliness, while adhering to company guidelines and flexing between projects.

This position offers the perfect combination of both the legal and medical worlds- linking your skills with your passion to deliver top-quality reviews of claimant files. These reviews assist our attorney clients as they seek restitution on behalf of hundred of thousands of claimants who have been harmed by wrongdoings or negligence of large institutions.

This role requires daily, non-stop computer use and is sedentary in nature. Please take this into consideration when applying.

Skills and Duties:

  • Computer savvy- with an emphasis on Excel, Adobe, and Word.
  • Proficient in the evaluation of medical records with the ability to recognize and navigate through different types of documents. We are NOT asking you to solve the claimants' problems or diagnose them. Our clients want the facts present in the claimant file, nothing more and nothing less.
  • Provide progress reports to project lead about tasks in process.
  • Possess ability to process material on varying subjects with intense regard to detail.
  • Meet deadlines set by the client and internally to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Track time spent on projects according to direction of the department supervisor.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality- we are a HIPAA compliant facility.
  • Ability to work in a quiet office setting with minimal supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Background in Medical Field - Education/ Work experience preferred.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word, along with Adobe Acrobat.
