How you'll make an impact in this role
Capture high-quality diagnostic images by performing routine and complex ultrasound exams, accurately adjusting equipment, and maneuvering transducers to evaluate tissue and body structures for physician interpretation.
Guarantee image accuracy and PACS integration by identifying pathology and artifacts, verifying patient data, and promptly submitting complete, high-standard image files.
Maintain rigorous equipment safety standards by monitoring machine performance, performing quality control, reporting malfunctions, and managing lock/tag-out procedures as needed.
Drive regulatory compliance and department readiness by strictly following clinical safety protocols and keeping patient rooms, dressing areas, and equipment clean and organized.
What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following required:
- Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtainedwithin 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transferdate.
- Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography(ARDMS) obtained within 18 Months (1 1/2 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need
- Minimum of SPI registry with plans to obtain RDMS
