Job Description:

PRACTICE SUMMARY

Specialists in Medical Imaging (SMI) services ​three hospitals and additional outpatient imaging sites in the Central Illinois towns of Peoria and Pekin, Illinois. Single worklist allows for efficient reading across the practice. Broad range of subspecialty expertise present in the practice allows for easy consultation with peers for second opinions. Specialists in Medical Imaging (SMI) is seeking an Onsite full-time day Musculoskeletal Radiologist. Musculoskeletal fellowship training preferred. Qualified candidates should be comfortable with all MSK and general diagnostic studies (MSK 40-50%). Ability to grow practice if candidate has expertise in joint injections and MSK ultrasounds or procedures. Body MRI or neuroimaging is a plus.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Competitive salary with Bonus

1-year partnership track position

Work Schedule: Day, Monday – Friday, hours typically between 7:30am-5pm

Evening/Night coverage provided by separate dedicated night shift team

Equitable sharing of backup 1:6 weekend and evening/night call responsibilities

Internal moonlighting opportunities available if desired

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology

Board certified/eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology

Musculoskeletal Fellowship trained PREFERRED, but not required

Comfortable with all MSK and general diagnostic studies (MSK 40-50%)

Grow practice with joint injections, MSK Ultrasound and other procedures

Body MRI and Neuroimaging a plus

Ability to secure an Illinois license

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $500,000-$575,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
