Specialists in Medical Imaging (SMI) services three hospitals and additional outpatient imaging sites in the Central Illinois towns of Peoria and Pekin, Illinois. Single worklist allows for efficient reading across the practice. Broad range of subspecialty expertise present in the practice allows for easy consultation with peers for second opinions. Specialists in Medical Imaging (SMI) is seeking a Full-Time Musculoskeletal Radiologist. This is a hybrid day position. Musculoskeletal fellowship training preferred. Qualified candidates should be comfortable with all MSK and general diagnostic studies (MSK 40-50%). Ability to grow practice if candidate has expertise in joint injections and MSK ultrasounds or procedures. Body MRI or neuroimaging is a plus.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule: Day | Monday – Friday, hours typically between 7:30am-5pm CST
- Evening/Night coverage provided by separate dedicated night shift team
- Equitable sharing of backup 1:6 weekend and evening/night call responsibilities
- 1-year partnership track position
- Internal moonlighting opportunities available if desired

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Candidates must be a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy, Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
- Board certified/eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology or Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology
- Musculoskeletal Fellowship trained PREFERRED, but not required
- Comfortable with all MSK and general diagnostic studies (MSK 40-50%)
- Grow practice with joint injections, MSK Ultrasound and other procedures
- Body MRI and Neuroimaging a plus
- Ability to secure an Illinois license
