Overview

Join an Experienced, Collaborative Sleep Medicine Team
 
Excellent opportunity to join a team-oriented group of Advanced Practice Providers and Sleep Medicine Neurologists caring for patients with a broad range of sleep disorders in beautiful Peoria, Illinois.
Our established Sleep Medicine practice includes neurologists who specialize in sleep medicine and six experienced Advanced Practice Providers. This collaborative team environment provides the opportunity to work closely with sleep specialists while developing meaningful, long-term relationships with patients.
 
Position Details
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
  • See a majority of return patients, along with select new patients referred for sleep evaluations
  • Work collaboratively with Sleep Medicine Neurologists and experienced APP colleagues
  • Participate in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with sleep disorders
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Support high-quality, cost-effective patient care
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and up-to-date medical documentation
  • Comply with all required hospital and outpatient department policies and procedures
APP Responsibilities
  • Obtain comprehensive patient histories
  • Perform physical examinations
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
  • Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing
  • Formulate diagnostic impressions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
  • Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments
  • Facilitate appropriate consultations and referrals
  • Provide patient counseling and education
  • Collaborate with Sleep Medicine Neurologists and the multidisciplinary care team
  • Promote quality care while supporting appropriate resource utilization

  • Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $55.20-63.65 hr. This is a salaried position.
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 
  • Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
  • Current national certification as an APRN or PA
  • Current Illinois licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or Physician Assistant
  • Current BLS certification; assistance with obtaining certification may be available
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, clinical, and organizational skills
  • Strong commitment to teamwork, patient-centered care, and clinical excellence
