Status: Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN Schedule: Day, Evening, and Weekend Shifts MBH is scheduled to open in June 2026, and we are building our team in preparation. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting patient care by preparing nutritious, high-quality meals that contribute to healing and overall well-being. Working alongside a collaborative kitchen team, you’ll help ensure meals are prepared safely and efficiently, in accordance with approved menus and dietary standards. Your attention to detail, commitment to food safety, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will help create a positive dining experience for both patients and staff. Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service. Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes Occasionally serve food Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes. Handle and store ingredients and food Maintain food safety and sanitation standards Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils Execute opening and closing procedures Set up workstations with the required ingredients and equipment Check the quality and freshness of ingredients Monitor station inventory levels Be able to adapt to high-pressure situations and busy service periods.   Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for: Education & Experience: Must have at least two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking; basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of a food service food handler’s permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful. Additional Skill Requirements: Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques. Attention to detail in presentation, flavor, and consistency. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
