Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit. Starting on September 28, 2026, AMT's Earn While You Learn program kicks off an 8-week accelerated course program that will provide the opportunity to earn $17.42 per hour as a full-time student in an EMT-Basic student training program. You will be afforded all of the benefits of a full-time employee, and upon successful completion of the program, passing the National Registry EMT exam, and obtaining your State EMT-Basic license, you will receive a full-time EMT-Basic position with AMT in Peoria and a wage increase! Application deadline is Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Our EMTs are responsible for caring for patients in emergency response situations, during interfacility transports, and during standby events. EMT's at AMT work 12-hour shifts across the AMT family of companies. Job Duties: Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment Document patient information, condition, and treatment Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment in accordance with company vehicle check-off sheets and inventory requirements.
