Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit. Our Paramedic team members are responsible for caring for patients in emergency response situations, during interfacility transports, and during standby events. Paramedics at AMT work 12-hour shifts in Peoria and 24-hour shifts in Pekin and Chillicothe areas. Shift bid is done twice annually. Full-time employees will typically work one 36-hour week and one 48-hour week per the two week pay period.  Job Duties: Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care Provide advanced life support when needed Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment Document patient information, condition, and treatment Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment in accordance with company vehicle check-off sheets and inventory requirements.
