Job Description:

Summary:

Perform the functions of receiving, delivery, and distribution of supplies and Mail Services on all campuses and the extension locations. 

Compensation for General Operations I is $21.74/hour.

Essential Functions:

  • Signing for items received on campus by completing a thorough check of the delivery.

  • Assisting in processing items received by logging packages in the system.

  • Delivering items received on all campuses and extension locations.

  • Delivering Document Services materials on campus.

  • Operating the forklift when required to unload receiving items.

  • Delivering items on campus; operating Mail Room machines

  • Sorting and delivering mail.

  • Keeping the receiving loading dock area clear and in safe condition

  • Operating College vehicles as needed; loading, unloading, checking items received, inspecting for damage, looking for hazardous materials, signing bill of lading, logging items into data base and preparing receiving vouchers for delivery.

  • Maintaining secure storage of material, equipment, and supplies.

  • Perform related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One year of direct experience or three years of related experience in receiving, delivery service and/or mail services.

  • Valid Class C Illinois driver’s license and the ability to satisfy requirements for insurability in operating college vehicles and equipment.
