Expected pay for this position is $21.72 - $25.55/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.


Overview

Training on site in Peoria. After successful completion of orientation, there is the option to work from home.

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Patient Navigator plays a key role in welcoming new patients to OSF by connecting them with the right provider, at the right location, and at the right time. They serve as a resource for both patients and departments, helping individuals connect to primary care and specialty services. In addition, the Patient Navigator ensures smooth access to primary and specialty care through effective scheduling and referral coordination. Patient navigators understand the connection of patient experience with patient loyalty and integrate service excellence with each patient interaction. Provides exceptional customer service and collaborates with other departments to provide exceptional patient experience.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: High School Diploma/ GED

 

Experience: 2 years’ experience in a contact center, health, and/or public health setting.

 

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Basic competency with MS Office Strong communication, decision-making, interpersonal skills, customer service, and organizational skills. Proven outstanding patient advocacy skills and ability to critically think to effectively guide the patient in real-time.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: Associate degree in healthcare, business, or related field.

 

Experience: 3 years of contact center or customer service experience. Prior experience with Epic (preferred) or other electronic health record platform.
