What You'll Do: AMT is seeking a highly skilled Security & Operations Engineer to strategize, execute, and manage our organization's security, hardware, software, service delivery, and operational needs. In this dual-focused role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to identify, develop, and implement cost-effective technology and security solutions aligned with AMT’s vision, goals, and growth strategies. Serving as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will spearhead cybersecurity operations, vulnerability management, patch compliance, security tooling administration, and system hardening, while simultaneously supporting broader IT infrastructure needs to ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient technology environment. Key Responsibilities: Cybersecurity Administration & Engineering Security Platform Management: Administer and maintain organization-wide cybersecurity platforms, including endpoint, identity, email, and data protection solutions. Application Control: Serve as the primary administrator for ThreatLocker, managing application control, storage control, ringfencing, and endpoint security features. Microsoft 365 Security Ecosystem: Support and maintain M365 security, compliance, and identity capabilities (including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, and Purview). Access & Identity Control: Manage user and administrative identity security by executing account reviews, privileged access reviews, and implementing access control enhancements. Vulnerability Management & Incident Response Vulnerability Tracking: Monitor, assess, and track security vulnerabilities across servers, endpoints, Microsoft 365, and interconnected systems. Patch Management Optimization: Coordinate and drive patch management efforts across server, endpoint, and application environments to ensure timely remediation of security gaps. Incident Response: Participate in the active investigation, containment, response, and detailed documentation of cybersecurity incidents, suspicious activity, and security alerts. Hardening & Baselines: Develop, maintain, and enforce robust security baselines and system hardening standards across the entire organization. IT Operations, Compliance & Support Infrastructure & Project Support: Assist with broader infrastructure, endpoint, and operational needs during projects, critical outages, escalations, or temporary staffing gaps. Compliance & Documentation: Gather evidence, generate reports, and maintain technical documentation to support organizational compliance with HIPAA, CAAS, and other regulatory standards. Process Documentation: Author and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for security processes, system configurations, and incident response activities. On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide critical after-hours and emergency technical support. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Strategic Risk Mitigation: Partner with IT staff, leadership, and external vendors to identify, communicate, and actively remediate cybersecurity and operational risks. Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a clear technical communicator across all departments, translating complex technical and security concepts for both technical and non-technical staff. Futureproofing: Research emerging security technologies and evaluate the feasibility of system enhancements to improve AMT's overall security posture and operational efficiency. Apply now! QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Associate’s degree required in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. 3–5 years’ experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, infrastructure support, or a related Information Technology field.  Experience administering or supporting security platforms such as ThreatLocker, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft 365 security tools, endpoint protection platforms, vulnerability management tools, or comparable technologies.  Experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening across servers, endpoints, and cloud services.  Experience supporting Microsoft 365 security and compliance capabilities including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, Purview, and related services.  Understanding of identity and access management concepts including Active Directory, least privilege, privileged access, and account lifecycle controls.  Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.  Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to prioritize tasks based on business impact, risk, and severity.  Maintain and develop processes and procedures for improved efficiency and security.  Experience with security incident response, event review, and remediation coordination preferred.  Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management required.  Experience with Linux systems, VMware environments, backup systems, or SQL query/database administration preferred.
