Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Driver Patrol in East Peoria, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming customer experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following location policies, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and exterior perimeter, as assigned.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, suspicious behavior, and policy violations to help to deter loss and other security-related issues.
• Assist with access control, closing procedures, and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
