Summary/Objective
Development-level position with experience in translating, preparing, and finalizing raw data into quality project deliverables and contract documents in accordance with company standards, municipal/jurisdictional requirements, survey standards, and client requirements. Demonstrates proficiency with computer assisted engineering and design software to effectively translate data into functional designs that guide project development. Works closely with other staff to gain technical knowledge and work efficiency.
Essential Functions
- Work from detailed sketches, notes, and verbal instruction
- Collect, review, prepare, and maintain project records and documentation
- Utilize computer-assisted design software and equipment for layering, line types, colors, and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout in accordance with company standards and project specifications
- Conduct research of recorded documents and deeds
- Review work product for compliance and Quality Control/Quality Assurance purposes
- Work collaboratively with team members to gain technical knowledge and work efficiency
- Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College credits in surveying technology or related field a plus
- 2+ years of applicable experience
- May require a valid driver's license for periodic field work or site visits

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrates ability to successfully engage with professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment, communicates with team members; builds relationships and trust
- Working knowledge of topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivisions, easement, and vacation plats
- Working experience of computer-aided design software and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
- Proficient in general documentation software such as Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, PowerPoint, etc.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrates ability to effectively execute assignments of increased size and complexity
- Demonstrates ability to convey information through verbal and written communication
- Effectively maintains office and field health & safety requirements and protocols
- Maintains a work schedule conducive to team collaboration and project-specific requirements
Physical Requirements
- Involves sitting a considerable amount of the time
- May exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to move objects
- Occasionally lifts and carries up to 25 pounds
- Considerable time is spent at a workstation using a computer and using various forms of communication (telephone, email, messaging, etc.)
- Any field work assignments will require exposure to outside weather conditions and various environmental conditions depending on the site
- Physical activities include walking and occasional stooping and crouching
