We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) to join our growing care team. Your Role: Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA)
As a Home Health OTA, you will provide skilled Occupational Therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in accordance with physician orders and individualized treatment plans. You will help patients improve functional mobility, safety, strength, and independence within their home environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant services in patients’ homes
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, transfers, and upper extremity function
- Reinforce therapeutic exercises, adaptive strategies, and rehabilitation techniques
- Educate patients and caregivers on home safety, fall prevention, adaptive equipment, and energy conservation
- Observe, document, and communicate patient progress and condition changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist and care team
- Complete timely and accurate electronic clinical documentation in compliance with Home Health regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient goals and outcomes
- Maintain professionalism, productivity, and excellent customer service during all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) program
- Active and unrestricted Arizona Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
- Home Health experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently within a Home Health environment
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of current automobile insurance
- Ability to travel throughout assigned Arizona coverage areas
