The Office of Campus Culture and Climate plays an important role in that mission. We develop and promote campus-wide initiatives, so every student, faculty member, or staff member feels truly welcomed, respected, and valued. Through comprehensive workshops and education, data-driven initiatives, and community engagement, we’re working together to strengthen our campus culture.
Graduate Programming Intern will play a vital role in supporting programming initiatives, student engagement, and curriculum development for leadership and professional development programs. The intern will work closely with staff and students to enhance the experience through event planning, mentorship, and community-building efforts. The intern will help to actualize the goals of increasing student success and belonging through culturally relevant activities that are welcoming and open to all students, faculty and staff from all backgrounds, cultures and identities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the planning, coordination, and execution of signature departmental programs, and initiatives, including large- and small-scale events, immersive experiences and community engagement efforts
Contribute to curriculum development, design and leadership development initiatives that strengthen student learning among specialized student learning, professional growth, and career readiness.
Advance student transition and success efforts through orientation programming, mentorship support and strategic outreach.
Assist with the Peer Mentor and Professional Development Series Curricular Development, designing engaging content that enhances student leadership and career readiness
Enhance departmental visibility and communication through strategic tabling, marketing and tailored content creation.
Work Schedule: 20-25 hours per week, with occasional weekend and evening hours depending on programming activities and center needs
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a graduate program Fall 2026 preferably in Education, Counseling, Non-Profit Leadership or a related field.
Graduate school enrollment of Full time (9+ Credit Hrs.).
Demonstrated ability to engage and lead in student success activities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast past paced environments
Passion for student development, student success and experiential learning.
Earned a bachelor’s degree in any field.
Department Required Skills:
Knowledge of challenges facing students from a variety of backgrounds and its impact on first generation and college students.
Knowledge of training and development regarding cultural competency.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a higher educational setting.
Demonstrate awareness of student success, community and belonging strategies and campus resources.
Ability to appropriately handle confidential information and follow requirements of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Strong ability to balance multiple responsibilities in time management across academics, internships and professional/personal growth.
Ab to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekends as needed.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Experience in event planning, student engagement, or curriculum is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in a public speaking role, developing presentation, or tabling on behalf of an organization.
Experience with research or assessment methods
Previous experience in working with student leaders and students in a college setting.
Previous experience in programming or event planning.
Start Date: August 10, 2026
End Date: November 20, 2026
Compensation: $15.00/hr. (total compensation up to $5,625.00)
Work Schedule: 20-25 hours per week
Please Note: This role requires multi-day in person on site work at Bradley University campus and is not available for remote work.
