Job Details
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing long term relations with customers and overseeing a portfolio of accounts in specific territories while strategically working to generate new business and customer networks.
Specific Responsibilities:Â
- Manages assigned territory to meet stated Company sales goals and budgets.
- Manages assigned territory by developing new accounts, managing existing business, achieving sales goals, and building long and profitable relationships with customers.
- Researches and develops new business by identifying prospective customers, evaluating their needs, and presenting company capabilities.
- Increases sales at existing customers by analyzing customer needs, and preparing appropriate solutions, recommendations, and presentations to fill those needs.
- Maintains existing business by obtaining customer specifications, communicating customer requirements to appropriate personnel, and following through on all projects.
- Carries out additional Company directives and sales strategies assigned from time to time.
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Acts as a liaison between customers and the Company while supporting the Company’s image.
- Continues to develop knowledge and skills of the industry and other companies’ products.
- Communicates with management on customer activity, including such activities as daily call reports, weekly territory reports and itinerary, and territory analysis.
- Supports the Accounts Receivable team to reduce and minimize the number of aged invoices in the Business Unit.
- Supports the Customer Service team to reduce and minimize the amount of aged inventory in the Business Unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred with 5 years’ previous sales experience preferably in the packaging industry

Travel Required:
