Adolescent Clinician – Youth Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) | Full-Time | Queens, NY

Location: Forest Hills, Queens, New York
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Schedule: 37.5 Hours Weekly | Hybrid (Two Remote Days)
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Reports To: Clinic Supervisor

Empower Youth Recovery Through Compassionate, Evidence-Based Care

Bleuler Psychotherapy Center is seeking a passionate and skilled Adolescent Clinician to join our growing Youth Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role is ideal for a licensed mental health professional who is committed to supporting adolescents and families through evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive treatment.

As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive clinical services to youth ages 12–17 experiencing mental health challenges, trauma, and co-occurring conditions. Your work will directly impact the lives of young people and their families while helping expand access to high-quality behavioral healthcare across Queens. 

What You'll Do

  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy for adolescents enrolled in the Youth Intensive Outpatient Program
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Complete intake assessments for youth referred from hospitals, emergency departments, CPEP, mobile crisis teams, residential programs, internal programs, and community providers
  • Utilize evidence-based screening and assessment tools, including PHQ-9, GAD-7, and Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS)
  • Deliver trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive clinical interventions
  • Provide crisis counseling, care coordination, and referrals to community-based services
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, supervisors, and multidisciplinary treatment team members to ensure coordinated care
  • Support discharge planning, aftercare coordination, and continuity of treatment
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Fulfill mandated reporting responsibilities involving child abuse, neglect, and reportable incidents
  • Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, program development, and ongoing training initiatives
  • Maintain consistent communication with staff through EHR messaging, email, and other approved platforms 

What You Bring

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related clinical discipline
  • Active New York State license in good standing (LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC)
  • Clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnoses, assessment tools, crisis intervention, and treatment planning
  • Experience providing trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic services
  • Ability to engage youth and families through a person-centered and recovery-oriented approach
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable utilizing EHR platforms, telehealth technology, Microsoft Office, and other digital tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively
  • Intensive outpatient, inpatient psychiatric, or community mental health experience preferred
  • Experience treating co-occurring mental health conditions strongly preferred
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, particularly those fluent in Spanish, Russian, Urdu/Hindi, Farsi, or Mandarin/Cantonese

Additional Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks and clearances, including NYS Justice Center, Staff Exclusion List (SEL), Medicaid Exclusion List, and OCFS screenings
  • Ability to work on-site in Queens, with hybrid flexibility available
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional clinical standards
