Work Shift:

Day - 8 Hour (United States of America)Under close supervision, supports Care Managers in the department through reception, records maintenance, coordination with hospital departments and external customers, and general clerical assistance. Provides prompt response to phone inquiries and timely response to required written documentation. Assists Care Managers in maintaining a variety of files, logs and registers, as necessary. The CMA also distributes CMS required forms such as IMM and MOONs and completes discharge appeals.

Education & Training:
High School graduate or GED equivalent.

Experience:
Two (2) years medical office experience or an equivalent combination of education and administrative experience.

Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
None.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of customer service concepts and practice; knowledge of privacy laws and regulations; knowledge of basic medical terminology; skill in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of software applications; skill in operating office equipment such as copiers and fax machines; skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.
