Description
Crosby’s is looking for a motivated and dependable Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations. In this role, you’ll support the Team Leader in creating a clean, efficient, and welcoming environment while delivering exceptional customer service and driving store success.Â
You’ll play a key role in supervising team members, maintaining high operational standards, and ensuring every customer has a great experience—every day, every time.Â
What You’ll DoÂ
Customer Experience
- Deliver prompt, friendly, and professional service to every customerÂ
- Prepare fresh food and made-to-order items following Crosby’s quality and cleanliness standardsÂ
- Promote and assist customers with enrolling in My Crosby’s RewardsÂ
- Drive sales through suggestive selling and add-on recommendationsÂ
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues when the Team Leader is not presentÂ
Store Operations
- Help oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and profitabilityÂ
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and brand standardsÂ
- Support merchandising, promotions, and inventory managementÂ
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, tobacco, alcohol, and company regulations     Â
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadershipÂ
Team Leadership
- Train, coach, and support store associatesÂ
- Assist with scheduling and maintaining proper staffing levelsÂ
- Provide feedback on employee performance and developmentÂ
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environmentÂ
Financial & Administrative
- Assist with inventory control, audits, and reportingÂ
- Support accurate cash handling and daily bank depositsÂ
- Review timekeeping and assist with payroll processingÂ
- Report discrepancies and maintain accurate recordsÂ
Safety & Maintenance
- Help maintain a safe and secure store environmentÂ
- Follow proper opening/closing procedures and cash security policiesÂ
- Monitor equipment, cleanliness, and overall store conditionsÂ
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to work at least 40 hours/week, including weekends and 3 evenings per week
- Experience Preferred
- Valid Driver’s license that meets company policy
- Reliable transportation for position requirements (e.g., meetings, daily banking, etc.)
- Serve Safe certified, preferred
- Proficient in basic math to handle cash transactions, shift reports, and vendor check-ins
- Ability to clearly assess and validate customer identification
- Ability to understand operating instructions for lottery, point of sale systems (POS), and other equipment.
- Tolerance of exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.Â
