About the Job
Â
The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds on plant and mobile equipment to maximize equipment reliability, safety, and operational performance.
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plant and mobile equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and document findings to support equipment reliability.
- Disassemble, rebuild, and install crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and compressed air systems.
- Perform shaft alignments, bearing installations, and belt, chain, and sprocket alignments using precision tools.
- Complete work orders, inspections, and maintenance documentation accurately within the CMMS system.
- Operate plant mobile equipment and assist with fabrication, welding, and metal repairs.
- Maintain a safe work environment while complying with MSHA regulations and company safety standards.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Working knowledge of precision measuring tools, bearings, lubricants, seals, and equipment alignment practices.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding environments.
- Basic computer, math, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotations as required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid welding certification, such as ASME 4G or equivalent.
- Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and basic steel component design.
- Knowledge of crushing, screening, conveying, and dust collection equipment.
- Experience operating cranes, rigging equipment, and plant mobile equipment.
- Familiarity with thermography, non-destructive testing, and thickness testing.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.
