Job Summary
-Oversight of either Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Services, Contract Maintenance or Maintenance Plant Support groups.-Providing technical and administrative direction to the teams supervisors.
-Providing an adequate level of trained and qualified personnel to implement the required maintenance activities.
-Ensuring team activities are performed in accordance with the applicable site procedures.
-Approving the training and qualification of team personnel.
-Approval of Maintenance procedures.
-Responsible for managing their respective areas/systems through the team Supervisors who direct the day-to-day activities of their personnel.
-Ensuring maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with applicable procedures, instructions, policies and regulations.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
ā¢Provide oversight, technical & administrative direction, and professional development for craft and supervisor personnel.
ā¢Manage a multi-million dollar budget to include allocation of funding for Maintenance contracts including resources and critical on-boarding.
ā¢Oversee & assist in the administration of Maintenance section training & qualification program.
ā¢Manage special projects as requested by the Maintenance Director.
ā¢Development & approval of Maintenance guidelines & procedures.
ā¢Respond & reconcile emergent work activities as deemed necessary by Operations Management.
ā¢Ensure maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with applicable procedures, instructions, policies and regulations.
ā¢Professional Interface with outside entities such as NRC, INPO, & ORC.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
ā¢Four years related Maintenance experience.
ā¢Two years nuclear power plant experience. During the two years, the individual shall have participated in supervisory or management activities of an operating nuclear power plant.
ā¢Six months on-site experience.
Key Metrics
ā¢Maintain Section Maintenance spending within budget.
ā¢Ensure the proper number of qualified personnel to perform maintenance/planning tasks are maintained.
ā¢Perform quality maintenance work with a goal of <1 item per year attributed craftsmanship or human performance.
ā¢No plant shutdowns, load reductions, or trips due to maintenance of equipment for the fuel cycle.
