Walt Churchill’s Market is looking for a Full-Time Grocery Manager at our Perrysburg, OH location.

Job Summary: 

The Receiver reports to the Pricing/Receiving Coordinator and is primarily responsible for the handling and processing of the stock and merchandising coming in on a daily basis. This includes storing, locating, and distributing stock within the backstock room. Documenting and tracking movement of product by inputting invoices and product information into the store database essential to the Receiver role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Check in all vendor deliveries and ensure that the products delivered match invoiced amounts
• Enter all invoices into pricing system for payment and file paper copies
• Communicate cost discrepancies and items not on file with the Pricing/Receiving Coordinator
• Generate and email AP Reports and entire store Purchase History at the end of each week
• Ensure that delivered items are received at correct temperature and that they are promptly delivered to the appropriate department to be stored
• Refuse contaminated product, damaged product, or product not meeting food safety standards
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized back room and dock area, being sure to keep fire exits and safety zones clear
• Work with department managers to maintain organization of product and supplies
• Operate and maneuver forklift or electric pallet jack safely after completing training and forklift certification process
• Load bales of cardboard and plastic onto recycling trailer and contact service vendors as needed
• Notify store manager about necessary repairs to be addressed
• Ensure packages are picked up by UPS and FedEx
• Work with DSD vendors to receive credit for outdated or damaged product in a timely fashion
• Notify vendors of quarterly scheduled inventory
• Assist in pricing as time allows

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 6:30am - 2:30pm + 2 Saturdays per month 7:00am - 1:00pm

Requirements

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Computer skills, including keyboarding, email, Excel, and Word
• Great multitasking, organizational, and customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and email
• Comfortable working with the public and greeting, speaking with, and assisting customers
• Attention to detail, ensuring duties are completed correctly and on time
• Comfortable troubleshooting printers, computers, etc.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Acute awareness of surroundings, entrances, exits, etc.

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma/GED
• Previous grocery retail experience is preferred
• Previous data entry experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk, bend, sit, lift, and reach frequently
• Pushing and pulling carts of product
• Ability to operate pallet jacks, dolly, and other equipment to move product throughout the store
• Prolonged periods of time working on a computer
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds
• Possible exposure to cold and heat during extreme weather
