The BIM / VDC Coordinator supports industrial construction and manufacturing projects through advanced 3D modeling, virtual design and construction (VDC), building information modeling (BIM), clash detection, and digital construction coordination. This role develops and manages model-based project information, produces fabrication and construction drawings, and works closely with project management and field teams to improve constructability, reduce rework, and support successful project execution.

DAY IN THE LIFE
As a BIM / VDC Coordinator, you will spend your day developing and maintaining 3D piping and mechanical models, coordinating multidisciplinary construction information, and supporting project teams with accurate digital deliverables. You will use industry-leading BIM and VDC technologies to perform clash detection, resolve constructability issues, and ensure models align with project specifications, submittals, and contract requirements. Working closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, field personnel, designers, subcontractors, and fabrication teams, you will support coordination meetings, produce shop drawings, prepare construction layouts, and help maintain project documentation. You may also collect field data, verify dimensions, perform 3D scanning activities, and assist with construction layout efforts. Your ability to interpret construction documents, manage model-based information, and collaborate across multiple stakeholders directly contributes to safe, efficient, and successful project delivery while supporting operational excellence throughout the construction lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
- Training or certification in Revit or BIM/VDC-related software platforms.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, or ability to obtain.
- Experience working in a BIM, VDC, or construction coordination role.
- Experience modeling piping systems and mechanical layouts for industrial or manufacturing projects.
- Experience using Navisworks, Revizto, or similar coordination software for clash detection and model coordination.
- Experience producing shop drawings and construction layouts.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling and coordination software.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Strong communication, organization, time management, and collaboration skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
