About The Role
The Senior Fulfillment Systems Specialist will be responsible for optimizing Fulfillment operations throughout The RealReal’s network by improving existing and upcoming systems implementations. This will be achieved by learning operational needs and applying them to the designed uses of those systems, and identifying and resolving when those needs are not met. Work with Outbound operations throughout the authentication centers network to improve the putaway, picking, batching, cycle counting, packing and shipping functions by optimizing the WMS, WES system use.What You Get To Do Every Day
Learn systems - Develop knowledge in, but not limited to, warehouse management, warehouse execution, automated storage and retrieval, put-to-light, automated packaging, print and apply, and material handling systems
Learn processes - Develop knowledge in Fulfillment operations to find best-fit solutions, and solve for system gaps and bottlenecks that hinder operations
Design processes - Aid in creating new and modifying existing processes based on available and planned system architecture
Contribute to project planning - Aid in defining the scope of all projects relating to Product, Engineering, and IT implementations of Fulfillment processes
Program management - Maintain awareness, make connections, and track the progress of implementations across all Fulfillment processes
Collaborate with stakeholders - Actively partner with cross-functional teams to communicate needs and track statuses of implementations through testing, release, and live monitoring phases
Manage internal and external relationships - Be the point of contact for all auth centers outbound systems implementations partners
Training - Aid in gathering training content for existing and new processes, support in training operators when necessary
Presentation - Effectively communicate strategy and answer related questions to audiences ranging up to executive management level
What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years in a warehousing environment utilizing WMS functionality
A strong background on using WMS in warehousing, specifically in batching, picking, putaway, handling exceptions.Â
An understanding of MHE (conveyors, sorters, putwalls, …) in warehousing and the interactions between MHE and WMS / WES systemsÂ
Able to help implement systematic changes and assist in training to the new flow
Ability to understand and prioritize the impact of system gaps and bottlenecks.
Relationship management, organizational planning and project management skills.
Ability to influence clients, suppliers, and peers into adopting Best Practices.
Desire for continuous improvement - improving operations efficiencies by identifying systematic and process changes.
Excellent communication skills- Verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal with the ability to transfer knowledge to others.
Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Requirements:
3+ years experience
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
Working within or supporting a distribution center, or related large-scale logistics-related operations setting
Using and troubleshooting systems typical to large-scale logistics-related operations
Working with both technical and operational teams to achieve change
Knowledge of messaging/interfacing between warehousing systems
Experience using COFE WES, Manhattan PKMS, or other WMS systems
Experience using Android and iOS-based handheld production devices
Experience with DC startup or WMS implementations
