QualificationsYour Mission in This Role ✨ We’re recruiting an Inventory Control Team Lead to help direct and lead tasks and processes related to inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and warehouse operations within our distribution center. This position is responsible for supporting inventory control activities, leading cycle count efforts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, and assisting departmental supervisors while promoting accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, confidence working with inventory counts and reconciliation processes, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication skills when working with internal teams. This individual should be a dependable team player who can lead by example, support fellow team members, and be willing to learn and adapt to Flat River Group processes and procedures. What You’ll Get to Do ✨ Lead regular efforts to verify inventory within the Distribution Center and maintain accuracy of all inventory transfers between DCs and units on hold. Reconcile inventories and adhere to cycle count schedules. Ensure the Inventory Control (IC) team upholds all standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety measures. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, making efficient use of space and following safety guidelines. Regularly inspect and report any issues with warehouse equipment—such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners—and ensure they are well-maintained and safe to operate. Participate in operational improvement projects and events to enhance processes and efficiency. Support training of associates in the operations department and provide leadership using a team approach to create a positive work environment. Effectively communicate with internal teams, provide direction for those working in the department, and promptly escalate issues or concerns to the supervisor or operations manager. Understand the basic functions of all other departments. Perform other related duties as required, including working in other departments when priorities shift. All other duties assigned.
