Position Summaries:
Hospice:
Is responsible to oversee the daily operations, programs and services of the nursing and home health aide departments. Â To assure quality patient services and facilitate processes in accordance with agency policies and procedures. Â Plans, directs, and participates in the delivery of professional services, assists in controlling costs through effective use of personnel, establishes and implements priorities for services.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Hospice:
1. Â Â Supervises and evaluates assigned staff and provides on-the-job training, assuring clinical competencies.
2. Â Â Explains and presents information regarding performance issues to staff.
3. Â Â Communicates effectively with staff, clients, families and other disciplines.
4. Â Â Interacts with health care professionals and physicians. Â
5. Â Â Provides customer service consistent with organization values, standards, and policies.
6. Â Â Oversees the quality and appropriateness of services and staffing as well as their availability to meet patient care needs.

Hospice:
Required:
Â
•   Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.  Â
•   Two years progressive supervisory experience.
•   One year experience in a Hospice setting.
•   Valid driver’s license, proof of valid auto insurance, and maintain a driving record in accordance with McLaren’s corporate driving policy and eligibility guidelines
•   BLS certification required within first week of hire.
Preferred: Â
•   Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN)
